Last week I said that I arrived in a new area and I have to say people start doing some weird things when you have a ton of money. We were going to a lesson when a miniature horse and carriage rode past us. These are people that if there kid asks for a pony they would get them one. Then there are the people that have to "keep up with the Jones" and supposedly have to remodel when their house is already new and grand. The members here are also a little too generous when they start asking us what we want for Christmas and if we need anything. They also think that we can eat entire cakes and other goodies because we have way too much stuff in our fridge and freezer.
There is some good news happening. I just received my Visa application to go to South Africa. It will take some time getting it done and approved but it looks like I will (hopefully) be able to get out there at some point soon.
We had a baptism saturday which was pretty amazing. He's been ready for a while now and apparently two weeks ago a member had called and said their is a guy that wants to be baptized and has already taken the lessons. So I got to go to that and be able to hear his testimony. We also have a baptism in two weeks for a couple. We had a lesson with them and they are really awesome. They are also waiting to teach their kids because the father wants to be able to baptize his own kids.
Yesterday we had a lesson with that person who was curious and we had the lesson in a members home. When we got there they were watching the Christmas conference devotional. After it was over she was in tears and told us how strongly she felt the Spirit. We didn't even plan this with the members. She's been struggling recently trying to find her daughter who has moved here but won't contact her. Her name is Denise, please keep her in your prayers.
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

P.S. the balloons are from our Christmas zone conference today. The last two photos are from my last area.
