So far this week and the rest of my time here has gone by so fast. Sooner or later I feel like two years is going to go by and I am going to be on a plane back home. No news yet about South Africa other than some people tell me some missionaries are going to other African countries. So far restrictions are coming down more. We can no longer eat in members home. But that doesn't really matter because so far we have no dinners scheduled at all.
We have no idea what we are going to do for Thanksgiving. Typically, we would have about five days a week for dinners, and now we have none. We'll see what happens with that now that we have three new wards. Nothing real interesting with people that we are working with. We met with one person who took lessons before covid but had some concerns still. We tried to have a lesson but unfortunately it fell through. We also were able to meet this one lady who is a nonmember for maybe a minute and she was busy with family but she told us to come by for dinner. Yesterday was supposed to be that dinner but they have a close contact with covid and couldn't do dinner. They gave us a chipotle gift card but there isn't a single chipotle anywhere near where I live. So maybe after two weeks we will try again. Covid has definitely been getting worse and two out of our three bishops have covid as well as some other ward council. My companion was sick (not covid) for two days so we did nothing being stuck in our apartments. That really sucks. Finally after those two sick days we were able to get back out again.
