To start our week we had Zone conference on Tuesday. It was fun to get to know our new Mission President, Pres. De Kock. After the normal business stuff of zone conference was over, Pres. De Kock spoke about his new vision for the mission. He now wants a greater focus on the bigger towns, than the smaller townships. He mentioned that this is going to be a huge change where he will have to rearrange areas, put an extra set of missionaries in each town, and more. A lot of work has been done in the townships in the past, but now he wants us to work outside in the towns.
They also talked about getting ourselves out there like how it was before covid. Which means literally talking to everyone, giving our pass along cards, and spending your entire day out of the boarding. So they gave us each a stack of 200 pass along cards and wanted us to start using them. So this last week we have spent many hours chasing people down, stopping them on their walks and giving out all of our cards. We even got some of our young men to help us. We would park our bikes at their house, give the young men a dozen cards and we talk to everyone that walks past their house. It's been very fun. It took us only four days to get rid of all of our pass along cards. I thought my whole mission would be a typical covid mission but now we are back to how it was before.
