We had our semi-annual food competition and this time the theme was “Salmon”. John went fishing a few days ago and came back with several King & Silver salmon so we were all able to use that fresh fish. Sophia made a homemade Salmon mac & cheese. Connor made a lemon, rosemary salmon and put it on a baguette bread with cheese and caviar. Isaiah made homemade salmon burgers with an avocado sauce w/lettuce & tomato. I made a salmon pizza on homemade focaccia bread with alfredo sauce, spinach, shallots & heirloom tomatoes. John made homemade salmon fish and chips, but the chips were onion rings. Our good friends the Burgess’ came and judged our food and Connor won the judges choice and Isaiah won the people’s choice award. This was one of my favorite competitions because everything tasted sooooo good!
