Isaiah's Missionary Letter "Sawubona"

I don't think I have ever played so much soccer in my life. Just about two times a day we are out in this empty parking lot behind our boarding playing soccer. We don't have goals but we do have these big semi wheels. There is one Elder in our district from Utah where his entire life is all soccer. So out of our district, there are three Americans and three South Africans. The three South Africans are all good at soccer as well. Then there is me and my companion who has never really played before. But it's a lot of fun and it's good to get out. Since we are in lockdown our mission President said that it's fine to go out and exercise a couple times a day. We have also gotten a couple people to randomly join us in playing so that was super cool as well. It's pretty hard to stay busy here especially in the area that I am in because of the lockdown. The only thing that we can do is calls. Most people in my area are pretty poor and most don't really have phones. Facebook finding is a thing but we don't do anything with our personal profile. Our facebook effort goes toward the page that we run and Elder Elkins and I are the moderators (they call it messenger missionaries) for the page. So our day usually consists of soccer in the morning, long study sessions, a few calls, responding to facebook messages and sending referrals, more soccer, and we usually have one lesson over the phone that night. Last night we got together as a district and made dinner. We all contributed something but the South Africa Elders made some really good SA food for us. They know how to cook. I have also been learning a little Zulu. The title of this email means hello. South Africans also have this cool handshake that they do. Mostly from the younger generation of guys so I am picking up on some stuff here and there.

Alma 34:9
"For it is expedient that an atonement should be made; for according to the great plan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are fallen and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made."

Elder Leuck

The food we ate last night. It consisted of some vegetables, mashed potatoes, rice, this chicken beef almost curry. They said it was something else though. Then some eggs salad, and this sweet chili beef.
