Connor had several great accomplishments this last month. 1st on his list is that he got his Bear Badge in Scouts! He worked really hard these last couple of months to get this big award, along with the Religious Knot Award.
2nd on the Connor list, is that he entered the school science fair and got a 1st place ribbon! His experiment was about how strong an egg really is, so we did lots of tests to see how many pounds 3 raw eggs could hold. Can you believe that the average weight was 18lbs?
Last on the Connor list was that he was awarded a 2nd place certificate (and $20) for entering an essay contest to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Out of over 100 essays that were submitted, he got 2nd place. He was so excited to attend a special banquet to honor all of those who received awards. The topic of his essay was "What I can do to make our country better" and he talked about recycling and keeping our community clean from trash and garbage. He did a great job writing this essay all by himself.
Way to go Connor!!
